Research visit to China

Dr James Cheng undertook a 7 week research trip to China in June-July 2013. James travelled to several cities to deliver guest lectures and seminars to planning and GIS students, including “Measuring job accessibility” at Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University; “Modelling urban growth” at Nanjing Normal University and “Spatial Regression” at Wuhan University. James also met with several research connections including Dr Jianguang Tu, a GIS professional at Wuhan University, who will come to MMU in October as a visiting scholar to work with James on a project focussed on developing a GIS-based planning support system.
