Journal of Radiological Protection

Dr Mike Wood, Programme Leader for UNIGIS UK, has been appointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Radiological Protection.

The appointment comes less than a year after Mike was awarded the Society for Radiological Protection’s Jack Martin Prize, in recognition of outstanding academic excellence in radiation protection.

A leading international expert in the field of environmental radiation protection, Mike publishes extensively on this topic.  He has a variety of significant international roles, including invited membership of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Working Groups and various EC expert groups in the area of radiation protection.

He is also leading a major research programme studying the radiation exposure of wildlife in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

Mike said: “I hope to bring a wealth of expertise in the field of radiation protection to my new Editorial Board role and am honoured to take up this important role for this leading radiation protection journal.”
