Postgraduate online courses in Geographical Information Systems

UNIGIS UK provides online distance learning education in GIS.  It has a longstanding pedigree of providing quality postgraduate teaching and is committed to delivering professionally relevant, authoritative and leading-edge materials to our students across the UK and world-wide. It is a founding member of a global network of HEIs which form the UNIGIS International Association and educate GI professionals worldwide.

UNIGIS UK is a collaboration between two universities in the Greater Manchester area of Northwest England: Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Salford.  This allows UNIGIS to draw upon the staff and resources of both institutions to provide a wider range of expertise and support for our students than offered in many other competitor programmes.  All course materials are delivered via our Moodle virtual learning environment and student support is provided centrally through our dedicated UNIGIS office.  Students who successfully complete the programme will receive a postgraduate degree from either MMU or Salford depending upon where they are registered.

"I believe this programme represents the gold standard for global distance learning education in GIS. The formula here is tried and tested, the staff are extremely knowledgeable, the feedback very useful and thoughtful and the academic standards are high"

Dr Alasdair Rae, External Examiner, The University of Sheffield
